Post Number Two

Wow it really feels great to get back into the writing every night kind of rhythm. I'm so so happy to have this site to connect with you guys (I know how cheesy that sounded).
I'm taking my plane tomorrow to go to my maternal grandparents' house in the North-East-ish corner of France. Their house is about a ten minute bike ride from the French-German Border. I love that  part of summer because I get to see so many of my best friends forever, and the countryside is the most beautiful thing in the world. Also not to mention that my grandmother is the absolute best cook in the entire friggin' world! Nobody can argue with me that their grandmother is better because I can tell you right now mine is the best. We never go to resteraunts because she cooks so amazingly well. I'm also looking forward to seeing my horse! Coolest horse in the world (all white with one brown stripe running down her back).
By the way, what's up with the spell check on this thing. I know I misspelled "resteraunt" before, but when I click on spell check, the only other suggestion it gives me is "restoront". What the hell??
Alright, I think that's all for tonight, just chilling on the sofa twiddling my thumbs while it's pouring rain outside (on the Mediterranean coast on top of it!!) waiting for tomorrow to come, and wishing I had a T.V. to watch the Tour De France on.
Peace.

Kicking It Off

Ok, so I had a tumblr. Now I have a blogger. Do you see a pattern here? I guess I'm kind of starting over here because I do want to keep in touch with all of you over this summer. I guess I just really have to ask; wat on earth is going on? I'm stuck using the smallest and slowest computer in the world to try to figure this all out (on top of it it's in french!). Will someone just fill me in on everything I've missed in the first few days of this summer camp? That would be really helpful, thanks.
I think I'll talk a bit about how my summer has been going so far. For the past few weeks I've been working my but off to get my level one license in meditteranean scuba diving. I know that in the U.S. it's really simple to get your license, but in france it's so hard! Luckily, yesterday I got my shiny new diver's license (I know it sounds like "driver's license") in the mail. I was so happy because I could now dive at night, and in new/exciting places, and deeper and deeper.
Besides diving, I've been working a lot. I work on boats all summer long with this guy right downstairs from my apartment. We give water skiing rides, wakeboard rides, and inflatable rides all day long. In the morning I come early to wakeboard and the rest of the day is fun work with people. I'm really useful because a lot of the tourists who come only speak english, and the guy who I work with speaks zip english.
My grandma and I go out every night to a different resteraunt along the beach. After we eat, we go walking around in the coolest part of the french riviera. It's really bright and loud and people just crowd the streets and the roadsare blocked off and there are tons of awesome stores and we love it. It's like a cross between Williamsburg (Brooklyn) and chelsea at night. Amazing.
Despite all this, I'm also doing a lot of reading. I've already finished two of the three books I bought before I left. They were both very good. The were called With or Without You and Stupid Fast. I preffered Stupid Fast though because it was lighter, funnier, and simply better written than the other book.
Besides that, not much is going on in Ilan Land. Hope to keep in touch with all of you guys over the summer. Peace.
